CBM Resources In Indonesia
Indonesia's CBM reserve potential, estimated at approximately 453 TCF,
is located in 11 basins, mostly in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
Since 2008, the Indonesian Government awarded 39 CBM PSCs,
with the most recent contracts signed in mid 2011.
The Government of Indonesian has drawn up a plan
for acceletaring CBM Exploitation to meet increasing
demand for gas with the first delivery of CBM to electricity
and CBM to LNG in 2012. CBM productivuty targets have been set
at 500 mscfd of CBM in 2015 increasing to 1 bscfd of CBM in 2020
and reaching 1.5 bscfd of CBM by 2025.
